Anatomy of a Ghost

Bio
Anatomy of a Ghost, the Northwest's newest post-hardcore stars, aim to take the national scene by storm. Success seems a foregone conclusion for the recently signed Rise Records band. The Ghost's mercurial rise in the Portland, OR, and greater Northwest music scenes - and on the charts at Internet music mecca MP3.com - have secured not only an ardent following among fans, but also the interest of several major record labels. A quick browse of the post-hardcore charts on MP3.com shows why: the Ghost boasts multiple songs in the top ten, with others not far below. Anatomy of a Ghost have seen enormous global response to the pre-production tracks on MP3.com. Winning nearly twenty-five thousand plays in only four months, the band's immediate success has led to interviews with zines from as far away as Holland, Great Britain and Germany. The explosive quality of Anatomy of a Ghost's swift rise to notoriety is partly the result of the Ghost's ability to appeal to fans of both poppy shimmer and a darker, more aggressive sound. Turning contradiction into brilliant combination is perhaps the Ghost's strongest (and most definitive) trait. Their sound is both progressive and syncretist. Creativity and sincerity are complemented, rather than compromised, by the band's mainstream accessibility. The most winning combination: the depth, energy and sensitivity of the record are equaled by one hell of a rocking live show. (Will Elliot--from troublebunchmusic)

~We've been labeled "post-hardcore", but we're not really sure what that means. It's just rock and roll, and it's all we know.
